Types and characteristics of radial piston motor
(1) Classification radial piston motors are basically low-speed high torque hydraulic motors, which have a wide variety. The detailed classification is shown in Figure n. The rotor of the single acting motor rotates for one circle, and each plunger reciprocates once. Its main shaft is an eccentric shaft. The multi action motor uses the cam ring with special inner curve as the guide rail. When the rotor rotates for one circle, each plunger works repeatedly. The number of curves is the number of action.
(2) Compared with other hydraulic motors, the characteristics of radial piston motor are shown in the table below.
Characteristics of radial piston motor
Main advantages | Main disadvantages |
① The axial dimensions are relatively small ②Large displacement, low speed ③ Good low-speed stability, can operate steadily below 10r/min, with a minimum of 1.5r/min. ④ The output torque is large, reaching several thousand or even tens of thousands of Newton·meters. ⑤ Can be directly linked to the movable working mechanism without the need for a reduction device. | ①Large radial size ②Complex structure, larger volume, Low power density |
The characteristics of radial piston motor in the table above
Single acting radial piston motor has the advantages of simple structure, good processability and low cost. However, in the case of the same displacement, compared with multi acting motor, the structure size of single acting radial piston motor is larger, and there is a larger non-equilibrium radial force acting on the rotor. Bearing with larger capacity is required. At the same time, there are pulsations of output speed and torque. Low speed stability is not as good as multi acting motor, but it is generally allowed It has higher speed than multi action motor.
